WHAT INSPIRED ME TO START :HOPE AND FAITH HOME FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN

FOUNDER OF HOPE AND FAITH HOME FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN
My name is Marion Karimi I was born at Meru county , Tigania West sub county Nkomo Ward from a polygamy family, but lives in Nairobi,
My both parent left us on the year 2013
I was born from the family of ten, and one of my late brother had special needs, (autism) My late grandfather who was visually impaired, my two cousin and uncle who is physically challenge ,it was my desire when I was growing up , that when I grow, I will assist children with severe disabilities because my brother and my other extended family members who suffered mistreatment due to their disabilities stigma which was in the family, community and also the society as large,
Let me talk more about my real brother whom we use to lock him in the toilet due to how he was very hyper and Destructive..
I remember when he’s locked in the toilet and someone need to use the latrine, He was to be removed from that dark toilet room and be tied on a fence post so that the toilet can be used, thereafter he’s returned in the toilet room where need to make sure the door was locked properly…
We had many cows and milk was pretty but in the whole village nobody could dare to buy milk from our family because of my special Brother, we were like cursed family, my sisters couldn’t get married, seven of them got kids out of wedlock because men’s couldn’t take them to their homes ,because people took having such kids is abdomen or a curse which is in the family, life was not easy to me because I had love him with all my heart.
But my late dad and other of my siblings, their intention was my Bro to die
Mum could be beaten thoroughly because of give my bro food, let me say this to help a parent or brother./sister with a special needs child.
I remember one day my late mum called me to pick my plate of food from kitchen and after that I decided to pretend to go to the toilet where I had covered my plate full of food with a pullover, after opening and locked myself inn, when I finished feeding him I thought of going out, but my dad was in need to use the toilet where we met with him on my way out, that the day I couldn’t forget in my life, because my late dad beaten me like have killed someone, until he broke me my left hand finger .
This left me with a scar in my heart because I couldn’t imagine the plan they had for this boy. To cut my story I was taken to a boarding school where I couldn’t access to see my beloved bro, But before the year end we happened to break for the half term where i met my brother was not at home and I insisted to see him or to visit him where he was, my request was taken lightly by everyone the family and because I was in class seven still young I approached my dad who told me that my brother was no more,
when I insist on his whereabouts I was told he died and they had already barred him, so it was very sad to me but I couldn’t change anything, my neighbors always had the rumors that the boy was poisoned but due to my previous mistreatment I thought I adhere with the situation, This made me hate my late dad and mum but after about ten years I decided to forgive them because all what happened God knew. After my bro death I was so passionate to anyone with special needs,
Back home in the church we had two kids one was my cousin and the other one was from Farthest end in our village, I use to teach Sunday school and this two were among my students, so use to buy two sweet, For them and an extra handkerchiefs for whipping them because they were drooling a lot, and other kids were complaining about their bad smell, so it was my duty also to make sure they have not messed up on their clothes, I loved the ministry with passion….When I finished my studies I met my self-doing special education which led me to this noble work, my prayers was after working for some time, I will help a child who is in need of care and protection in the community /society because I realized if my parents could abandon my brother ,God could have chosen someone to rescue him and give him care and protection where he could have lived without harm, This is what inspired me to open doors in my life as young as I was twenty seven, I conceived hope and faith home for special needs children on 18th/2/2005
